Pete playing his Nechville Nextar Banjo

Hailing from Southwest Chicago, Pete is a high-energy, progressive 5-string banjo player specializing in the three-finger

or Scruggs style. At a young age, Pete began his banjo journey studying under Grammy nominated, Greg Cahill at Chicago’s

Old Town School of Folk Music and has spent the years since perfecting his technical sound and unique style while captivating the hearts of fans and audience members across the region.

He has since gone on to play with many regional acts such as Growler, The Leadfoot Band, The Grateful String Band, Pat Ferguson & The Sundown Sound and has most recently begun recording and performing with Grammy award winner, Jim Peterik. Peterik, most notably as co-founder and front man of the bands Survivor, The Ides of March, Pride of Lions and World Stage, added Pete to his recording and live performing personnel in early 2016. Pete can be found on stage performing Peterik’s top hits, “Eye of The Tiger”, “Vehicle”, “Hold On Loosely” and “Caught Up In You” to name a few.

Pete has shared the stage and performed along side of such acts as Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas, Don Stiernberg, Robbie Fulks, Chicago, Tony Furtado, Greg Cahill & Special Consensus, Jeff Austin, Elephant Revival, Greensky Bluegrass, Larry Keel, Roland White, Michael Cleveland & Flamekeeper, The SteelDrivers, The Emmitt Nershi Band, Aaron Neville & Dumpstaphunk, Dawes, The Revivalists, Leroy Bach of Wilco and the list continues to grow.

While staying true to his bluegrass roots, Pete now continues to drive the five-string banjo into new & exciting genres and has an exhausting passion for writing music & performing live for audiences near and far.
